Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)

NMT specializes in deep tissue manipulation that aims to treat the underlying cause of chronic pain involving the muscular and nervous system. This form of therapy addresses trigger points, scar tissue adhesions and/or microscopic damage to the soft tissue, poor posture, blood circulation, compressed nerves, and biomechanical problems that can be caused by repetitive movement injuries. Utilizing NMT can enhance the healing process by increasing blood supply into the tissue and promoting muscular symmetry.

Deep Tissue Therapy

Deep Tissue focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains, contracted areas such as stiff neck, upper and lower back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower, the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layers of muscles and the connective tissue surrounding muscles, also known as Fascia.

Sports Therapy

Sports therapy is full bodywork that deals with acute, chronic, and repetitive injuries associated with recreational activities. This type of therapy can help prevent injuries, improve recovery, and condition the body to maintain optimal health during athletic activities.

Cupping Therapy – Kangzhu Cup

Cupping is a form of therapy in which cups are placed on the skin creating suction on the body in order to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation and activate the lymphatic system to promote drainage. Also, brings fresh blood to the area, which improves circulation, treats pain, reduces tension, release toxins, and improve appearance of cellulite.

When circulation is sluggish or compromised in an injured or diseased area of the body. The soft tissue will have insufficient oxygen getting to the cells, allowing localized build-up of waste products. Using this technique may leave marks on your body, but these marks ARE NOT bruises. Bruising is when injury to the soft tissue occurs deep within the muscles, causing broken capillaries and leakage of red blood cells. Also, edema will occur in the area involving the coagulation of sticky proteins. Both of these ailments being present usually results in stagnation of blood and lack of circulation to the affected area, resulting in pain, dysfunction, and chronic conditions.

Cupping Therapy – MediCup

MediCupping uses a machine to create the suction and pumping movements that are normally done with manual vacuum pistols. This creates a soothing, consistent and effective treatment without causing strain on the practitioner or client. As an adjunct therapy to chiropractic manipulations, medical protocols and surgical recovery, MediCupping therapy accelerates the patients recovery progress.

Cupping Therapy – Baguanfa Cup

Baguanfa (silicone) cup therapy allows the client to get up and stretch while having the cups on you. The Silicone cups hold the muscle during Dynamic Movement. Silicone cups come in many different sizes and are malleable. This allows us to place these cups in difficult areas like the knees, elbows, hands, feet, scapulae, abdominals, shoulders, etc. The vacuum created by the suction effect of the silicone cups increases blood and lymphatic circulation systematically and locally, relaxes the muscle and connective tissue, draws out stagnant blood, pathogenic factors and toxins from the tissue, and releases a myriad of pain-causing factors.

Shiatsu Therapy

Shiatsu therapy is a therapeutic form of acupressure, muscle stretching, and corrective exercises derived from Japan. During the massage, the practitioner will use their hands, palms, and thumb to apply pulsing or rhythmic pressure to the body.

Trigger Point

Trigger point therapy is a commonly used technique in physiotherapy practice to alleviate pain caused by knotted muscles. Trigger points are defined as irritable areas associated within a tense band of muscle that is painful upon compression, contraction, or stretching of the muscle and can refer pain in the local area or in other areas of the body.

Kinesio – Rock Tape

Rock Tape is Kinesiology tape just evolved and enhanced to meet the demands of athletes. Rock Tape is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while allowing support and stability to the muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It is used to successfully treat a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and medical conditions.
